We may modify these terms at any time, notifying members of changes via email. You are responsible for reviewing the Terms of Use to decide if you agree to any updates. Changes are effective from their posting date. If you do not agree with the changes, you may opt-out of the CEIDER membership and website. Otherwise, your continued use implies agreement to the revised terms.

Although Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia, the terms Alzheimer’s and Dementia may be used interchangeably.

1. General Overview

The Website offers complimentary access to the latest updates on Alzheimer's prevention and research, serving as a comprehensive resource for those keen on staying informed about Alzheimer’s news, scientific progress, and brain health. It empowers users to become knowledgeable advocates in the realm of Alzheimer's prevention and seeks to bridge the gap between volunteers and Alzheimer's research efforts, contributing significantly to the battle against this condition.

Research summaries may be provided and findings may be generalized and communicated as best-current-advice or strategies, but these are opinions and may not be relevant or appropriate for a given User. The Website does not serve as a healthcare provider and should not be seen as an alternative to professional medical advice or treatment.

The Website relies on the integrity and accuracy of the information provided by its users to offer relevant and valuable content. By using the Website, you commit to supplying honest and precise information about yourself.

CEIDER reserves the right to decline an email address for registration if it's already in use or for any other reason at its discretion.

By registering, you consent to CEIDER using your email to send communications ("opt-in"). You have the right to withdraw this consent and stop receiving emails at any time by following the "opt-out" instructions provided in each email from CEIDER.

Upon providing an email address, Users may also choose to share additional personal details such as name, gender, race, zip code, and specific areas of interest. This personal information is protected by the Website's privacy policy, ensuring confidentiality and security without sharing or selling your details.

The information collected from Users is utilized for educational, informational, and communication purposes, including notifications about upcoming Alzheimer's research opportunities or other CEIDER services, such as support groups or new helpful products.
